Give the best care to your Persian cat
How do you best care for your cat? What is the perfect way to ensure a happy, healthy life for your feline friend?
The level of care and nourishment you give your cat does not depend on any specific Persian cat breed. All Persian cats – any cat for that matter - need love and care from their family. Persian cats are fun loving and affectionate and it is easy to love them.
You can easily distinguish between someone who has a Persian cat because he got it from a friend and family member and feels obliged to take care of it and someone who went out of their way to find that special Persian cat for themselves. Pictures of cats would fill the house of the one who really wanted the cat whereas the person feeling obliged to take care of the cat would do exactly that, take care of it. That person would feed it, bathe it and do whatever is necessary to keep the cat alive whereas the person who really loves the cat would do all of that but would also play with the cat, show them love and affection and do their best to spend some time with the cat every day.
Taking care of a cat does not only mean feeding them, but grooming the cat, brushing out their hair and making certain the hair does not mat. Cat grooming supplies are available at various pet shops and you can find various tips on the “How-to’s” of cat grooming on the web. The type of grooming depends on the type of cat and the length of the cat’s hair. With Persian cat grooming the grooming differs from that of the Siamese cat – or various others.
When grooming your cat you need to bathe them and then comb their hair out. Before bathing the cat, clear the area around the tub or sink you are going to bath the cat in. It is best not to pour clean shampoo over the cat but rather mix it with water and then pour the water over the cat. Remember to rinse the cat thoroughly – best to do so three times. When drying the hair you should remember not to keep the dryer in one place for too long as the air gets very hot and burns the cat.
You should always clip your cat’s nails but be careful to not cut into the quick. As with any baby or child, be careful when clipping your cat’s nails or if you are scared, rather take them to a parlor.
If you are serious about providing the best love and care possible for your Persian cat then it is also important to find the best possible Persian cat to benefit from that love and care. Going to a reputable Persian cattery you will find well bred and cared for Persian cats. Persian catteries that are CFA registered provide great care for their cats and you will find the perfect Persian cat to go home with you.
