One thing I want you to note and remember before I take you away, far away, is that above and beyond and besides all things and anything, I LOVE ALL THE DOGS!  The pets that live in Fort Worth, all of Texas, here at Awesome Cutz, and all the babies I have never even met.  Okay, now that we have that covered and out of our way let us begin this journey!

It is 6:30 in the morning, and I cannot tell for sure if Tiger or Joe has to go to the bathroom worse, but I know for sure I can not take them at the same time.  They are both intact male, large breed dogs.  Tiger is a Lapphund, stronger than any pitbull could ever think of becoming, but sweeter than a puppy in love.  Except when it comes to Joe, my Beautiful Black Standard Poodle.  I have trained Joe to "Walk away, and turn the other check, when a small dog acts aggressive towards him, but that would be unfair to teach him when it comes to a large breed dog.  He does not like Tiger, because Tiger has dominated a lot of my time for the last three weeks.  I've been training him to be obediant and Joe has not liked it at all.  So I guess it's Joe, I'll walk him since he has been getting a lot less attention from me for the past three weeks.  I've even slacked a little on his grooming due to Tiger's behavioral training requirements of my time.  After all Joe's grooming is very time consuming, and requires brushing and cleaning his eyes almost every day.  Sometimes when he gets stickers in his legs, I have to brush and groom him more than once in a day.  He is a walking billboard for Awesome Cutz though, so he must look good at all times.  People stop outside our grooming shop and take Joe's picture all the time.  I belive one day Awesome Cutz will be a landmark for the city of Fort Worth.  I hope to have clients from all over the world bring their beloved pets to me so I can make them look better than they ever have in their entire life.   Back to the walking, Tiger's turn and he is dragging me to the yard, as he is trying not to pee on the petshop floor.  So, I let him pull me, but I don't run, just walk briskly.  Just as we hit the door, a client is stepping out of their automobile with what looks like a cockerspaniel/poodle mix breed dog that hasn't ever had a hair cut.  I tell the client hello, and I will be right with them as soon as Tiger is finished taking care of his business.

I write down the clients information, and as I step around the pet shop counter to inspect the condition of the dogs hair, and it's size so I can quote an accurate price, I catch him hiking his leg on the corner of the counter.  It's okay, I say, everyone else does it, that is why I put shower board on the base of the whole counter.  As I get a litlle closer to the dog, I see fleas hopping and pole vaulting off of his body, everywhere.  I tell the client I'll call as soon as I'm done, and grab the dogs leash.  I head to the bathing area and put the dog in an enclosed kennel, and spray all over the floor in front of his kennel, to prevent a flea infestation of Awesome Cutz.  Then I flea spray me, all over, then spray the whole path we took to the front door.   Then pour some more outside his kennel, and then bleach mop the whole front of the pet shop, again.

I do not know how, but some how this dog has no mats, so I am going to deflea it first.  The bugs fun when they see me coming, they know I am their exterminator.  Shoot, I bet I've killed half of Fort Worth's Fleas Since I've opened Awesome Cutz, it is much better now than a year ago, a little flea product and a lot of educating goes a long ways in the grooming business.  You should come check us out, be real happy to have and help you all, check our web site for more information.  Thanks, Joelle
